Youpi, c’est l’heure de la leçon de ski ! T’choupi sait glisser très très vite, prendre le remonte-pente et même faire des virages ! Quel champion !

T'choupi fait du ski

T'choupi books make it fun to learn the French language (a lot more fun and effective than the discouraging experience I had trying to learn a foreign language in college). From the complete sentences on each page, their accompanying pictures, help from an online translation tool, and writing these reviews (to reinforce memory), I picked up words and phrases like: virages (turns), apprend à freiner (learn to brake) and tombe dans la neige (falls in the snow). This is a great little book and I'll definitely be reading more books in the T'choupi series, but they're rated ages 2-4 and it's clear I need to spend more time on books in the 0-6 months age group, like the Mon Imagier series I've been working through. Kids and even adults who are interested in skiing (or at least "vacances à la neige") and learning French will like this book.
