A nice translation of "Charlie and the Chocolate factory," will engage young francophone readers as they follow Charlie through his adventure.
Alas, the best pun in the book is lost in translation: "Les bonbons carrés qui ont l'air d'être ronds" is not quite what is meant by "Square Candies that Look Round" and might confuse the reader a little.
Mature readers who are just learning French will find this book easy and fun to read. I found it hard to put down. (At my age-- really!)
