Cette petite fille me plaît beaucoup, pense Boule le chien. Comment faire pour devenir son ami ? Si je lui donnais un grand coup de langue sur la joue ? Ça ne marche pas : elle pleure. Si je chantais quand elle joue du piano ? Non plus : elle hurle. Si je faisais semblant d’être son ours en peluche ? Rien à faire : elle attrape le vrai ours et s’enfuit. Et si j’allais m’enfermer au fond de ma niche ? Tiens, voilà la petite fille qui s’approche… Le seul moyen de devenir ami avec les autres, c’est d’être soi-même !

C'est pas gagne

This short book tells the story of a little girl & her new dog. The dog tries hard to befriend the girl to no avail. He retreats to his doghouse & it's only then that the little girl approaches him, worried. She shares her doughnut & thereafter are the best of friends. I like this book because our family recently got a puppy & my 4 year old can personally relate to this story. It's a quick but endearing read.
